What is Functional Family Therapy (FFT)?

Functional Family Therapy (FFT) is an evidence-based intervention for youth and families. This high-quality, strength-focused family counseling model is designed primarily for at-risk youth who have been referred by the juvenile justice, mental health, school, or child welfare systems.

By including a family's individual set of values, cultures, needs, and barriers in the treatment planning process, FFT significantly increases motivation for change.

What is Positive Parenting Program (Triple P)?

Triple P aims to build positive behaviors in children, boost confidence in parents' abilities, community support for raising children, developing positive attitudes, skills and behaviors.  This helps to prevent problems from arising, and promotes family relationships that encourage children to reach their full potential.

At a Triple P session, a parent/caregiver will discover ways to build their relationship between the child, ways to increase positive behaviors and communication, and how to handle misbehavior, especially when faced with difficult situations.

What is Promoting First Relationships (PFR)?

  • An evidence-based training program that is dedicated to promoting children’s social-emotional development through responsive, nurturing caregiver-child relationships.

  • Video feedback approach grounded in attachment theory and reflective practice principles.

  • Gives professionals who work with parent/caregivers and young children (0-5) the knowledge, tools, and strategies to guide and support parent/caregivers in building nurturing and responsive relationships with children.
